About
Pumpin'! was conceived sometime in February 2005. It gambled on being my portfolio and/or/neither my collective, before it was decided Pumpin'! would remain a collective, separate from my portfolio. Pumpin'! has been hosted at Trendevous.org, which happened to belong to a very dear friend of mine, Mallory. Since then, it has moved to Mallory's late domain, la-prep.net; and two of my late domains, hiscrusade.com and stfutrex.net, respectively. keepitpumpin.net was thought up in April 2007, and registered. In summer 2011, Pumpin'! was moved to my used-to-be-many-things collective domain, Wyngs ».
The name, Pumpin'!, comes from two sources, both of them songs – and before I continue, let it be known that I'm an avid fan of songs, and will try to reference one at any given time – "Pump Up the Jam" by Technotronic and "Wild Thing" by Tone Loc. I love techno, and Pumpin'! sounded both eclectic and childish, and all kinds of fabulous. Most would assume I'd have tired of it after five years, but I think Pumpin'! is rather unique in the sense that nobody has this atrocity for a name. :D
The current layout, launched April 25th, 2011, and uses all hand-woven materials by me, including the CMS powering Pumpin'!. On a not-really-at-all-similar note, Pumpin'! was bought at Go Daddy » and is hosted by DreamHost », the latter of which I am never leaving, because DH is that awesomesauce and fantastical. Pumpin'! hosts all of my own websites, and Michelle's » anime/game domain, Sylvarant ». To avoid any future confusion, no I do not offer hosting of any sort; I'm a shitty commenter in a lot of non-commenting ways.
Tess
I'm positive (... sort of) that it's been mentioned, but: I'm Tess, I'm 22 and I develop PHP (and often times MySQL, but these entities have been known to separate themselves with me) scripts and run 39383858585 websites. Apparently, I really love running myself into the ground trying to keep up with 3839300009 things to do along with my busy real life I sometimes pretend I don't have.
Actual shit about me: I love techno and rock music, any culture that isn't my own (two words: terrible American) (Japanese and British being my favourites, though), manga (shounen and yaoi being the strong contenders here), slash fanfiction (!!!!!), A MILLION AND EIGHTY TV SHOWS I DON'T EVEN KNOW, movies (mostly of the sci-fi, action, thriller, horror and comedy variety), fashion (Kate Moss and Angela Lindvall are my favourite models, Diesel, Dsquared2 and Mary K are my favourite designers, and my favourite photographers are Mert and Marcus, Paolo Roversi and Hedi Salmine), photography, cooking and being a crazy cat lady.
